Caravan servicing and associated work

When one takes a caravan to a dealer for a service, the main part of the £180 - £250 service is checking that the cupboard doors etc open, the heating works, oven works, water turns on and off etc. The rest is basically greasing the wheel hubs and perhaps adjusting the handbrake.

I think that a service should include servicing all gas appliances not just checking them, flushing out the water system and cleaning it with something like Milton, cleaning the water waste pipes, checking that all outside lights work, and at the price you pay giving the caravan a good wash.

There is a big difference between mobile service agents and main dealers, but only in price. They both do the same job and if your warranty has run out, there is no comparison. However, a good main dealership is well worth hanging onto, but unfortunately, rare too.
