Hi all,

We have looked seriously at purchasing a caravan in the Yorkshire coastal area but cannot justify annual site costs because we wouldn't be able to use it at weekends 38 weeks of the year. We would be mainly late Sunday evening/ monday morning to Friday afternoon visitors. Is there anyone out there who would be interested in a caravan share as such? Lump sum, shared responsibility etc with only the very very occasional weekend or full week required and certainly not the entire summer period. We are looking for a site with a 10 months + license. Willing to share all costs, terms to be discussed. Quite happy to enter into a legal contract. Will provide landline telephone number and home address to anyone who has a serious proposition.

Gillian - many sites have storage facilities whereby they will store the van within their compound for when it is not in use. There is then a minimal charge for towing on and off a pitch for when you wish to use it. This way you are paying purely storage fees for when the van is not in use and not full pitch fees. We were going to do this in Devon this year but numourous problems so far have prevented this.
