Hi can anyone help just had tow bar fitted to my 2011 ix35 13 pin electrics it works fine on test board in garage but when I hook up to caravan side lights do not work ? Indicators and break lights work on van and on car . Also left hand rear light goes out on the car ? Any ideas anyone

Caravan side lights fail

The problem is the earth on the caravan fittings if the car performs okay on the test board as you say.
Check all connections from the hitch back to all lights including any joints.
When hitching up and testing we start with the brake lights. If okay keep the brake depressed. Then turn on side lights. Keep them them on as well as the brakes then do indicators and again with everything on do the fog light and reversing light.
99% of problems will usually be a poor earth.
