Looking to go to slovakia - any recommended sites would be welcomed plus any other general views on Slovakia

Although it's not in Slovakia, you might be interested to have a look at Lake Balaton, in Hungary. It's only a few hours from the Bratislava area of Slovakia, and is a really nice place for a holiday. The lake is one of the largest in Europe, and has several caravan sites. We stayed last year at Badascony Camping, which I can recommend. The eastern side of Slovakia, and the Tatra mountains is supposed to be good, but the western side is rather uninteresting.
