We'll be picking up our new Xplore 304 on Monday 13th April from Pedley's Leisure in Bedworth, Warwickshire, and want to spend a couple of nights trying it out on a nearby caravan site. We're looking for somewhere not too far from Bedworth in case we need to pop back to the dealer to sort anything out, so any suggestions re suitable sites would be very much appreciated. As we haven't been caravanning for a few years now, we want, if possible, to avoid any unsuitable routes (such as town centres, bridle paths etc) especially with a new van, so if anybody has any knowledge of this area we would be grateful for any advice you may have.

Thanks in anticipation.

There's one at wolvey called five ways I think. Go onto UK campsite look under Warwickshire.
There's hollyfast on outskirts of coventry but it's expensive.
There's a little CS on way out of coventry on the fosse rd can't remember the name.
If your going to use your own facilities then you could try a CL called bramcote mains. It's a farm/caravan storage with fishing and a little CL. Facilities aren't great but great views across the lake.

Thanks so much for the advice, Jo-Anne, but it came a little late. After some research we decided to book a couple of days on the Hollyfast site which is only 5 miles from Bedworth. It cost £21 per night (£19 for CCC members), but well worth it, I feel, as it has excellent (free) facilities and the couple who own/run it could not have been more friendly, helpful and welcoming. We also liked the fact that you could have (against a £25 deposit) your own electronic handset to operate the automatic barrier.

Thanks again
