Hi - we have an 08 Bailey Ranger and like most that I see the Ranger sticker/decal above the front window has faded and split. I have purchased a new one from Bailey for £46! But before I can put it on I need advice on how to remove the original sticker and glue residue. Any ideas?

Hi Angel
You could try warming the old decal with a hair dryer to peel it off and then use Sticky" Stuff Remover to get rid of the sticky residue.
Clean the area thoroughly with methylated spirit before applying the new decal.
£46 is a lot of money for a decal, E-Bay have them for £30

The sticky stuff remover removed the residue left when i replace mine and they had been on since 2000, what i would say though is place a strip of masking tape across the bottom of the decal & up one side right on the very edge, you can then mark it with a pencil to use as a reference mark and leave it there whilst you remove the old one and then put the new one back on in the same place ;)

Thanks for the tips. I'll buy that sticky stuff remover & good idea to use tape to mark out where new sticker should go.

One of the best things for removing a sticky residue is believe it or not, Mayonaise. Wifey told me that one, and it does actually work.
