Caravan Taps only work when both opened

Hi folks,

My issue is:
If i open the Kitchen tap on its own, i get nothing.
If i open the Bathroom tap , then the bathroom tap works.
If i open the Kitchen tap AND Bathroom tap at the same time, kitchen tap and bathroom tap work but both slowly.

From reading, it seems may be an issue with kitchen tap micro switch, but any advice would be appreciated..

Are the microswitches easily changed for someone who is a beginner 🙂

Its a 2001 Swift Blakemere 5-berth

Thanks

Is your pump audible? If so can you hear it start when you open the kitchen tap only? If you cant, but can when you open the bathroom tap then I agree with your diagnosis.

How easy depends on the taps that have been fitted. If you google " Changing micro switch in caravan tap" you should find several reports and videos to lead you through the process. You are likely to find atleast one that matches the taps in your caravan.
