Caravan tracking, cheaper option anyone???

Just a thought, but if i put a mobile phone in my caravan, obviously hidden, and leave it switched on, either permanently connected via 12v adaptor, or just removed and recharged every 5 days or so, i can then subscribe to a mobile tracking service, currently £1 per month on some, and if my vans stolen i can track it via mobile tracking.

Anyone see any drawbacks with this?

I've used this method for some time, just remember to turn the ringer off and hide it away from view.
