Hi All, Im new to this and I have alot of questions. I have just purchased a 1992 Bailey Majestic, First of all there are a few new or second hand accessories I require, so a good retailer would be handy. i have an existing leak that I have just discovered, the only thing I can think of doing is to silicone seal the area and join above the window, Is this correct. Any advice would be greatfully received.

Cheers John

Hello John,

Welcome to the forum. If you have questions, this is the place to find the answers. Don't worry about how daft they may seem, we have all probably asked them at some point.

There are loads of accessory dealers to choose from. Try Towsure as a starting point. But a simple google search for Caravan accessories will throw up dozens.

As for the leak it depends on where it is how bad it is and how long it has been leaking. It is likely that there will be some damage to the woodwork around the window. A simple check is to apply a little pressure with the hand to the offending area. If there is a lot of movement and a cracking/grating sort of sound, the woodwork has been damaged and will need replacing. Ifit still feels reasonable solid you may have caught it in time and sealing the leak may be enough but keep an eye on it.

Can't be more specific than that without seeing it.

Maybe someone else will be along with better advice.

Best of luck.

Thanks very much, the main thing is a vent cover over the kitchen ceiling, it is 450 x 450. the other bits i presume are specific to the majestic range, which are the oak cornice and edging strips and door panels, as well as tie backs.

Cheers John
