Caravan Weight

What does MAW 1100 kg mean on the plate of my 1996 ABI supreme?

Is it an unladed weight? The Plate also has CAP 211 KG. Do I have to Add 211 to 1100 to get Total allowed weight?

Many THanks

David

MAW is the maximum allowable weight, also referred to as MTPLM, maximum technically permissible mass (although there is a slight difference in definition between the two), and is the legal maximum of the fully loaded caravan, as its name suggests.

CAP is Caravan Available Payload, so the kerbweight would be 1100kg MINUS 211kg = 889kg.

Thanks for the info Lutz.
