Caravanning in Jersey, Channel Islands

You need a permit before you can take a caravan to Jersey. This is normally obtained for you upon application by the campsite proprietor. There are only 3 sites that can accommodate caravans: Rose Farm, Rozel Camping Park and Beuvelande Campsite.

I also remember when we tried to go that they have a caravan length limit i believe it is 6.7mts body length that doesnt include the a frame.

frances,

I looked to do this last year, and there was quite a restriction on what size outfit the fastcraft could take, which therefore meant a 10 hour overnight crossing from Portsmouth on a traditional ferry. Then looking at the costs involved, I came across a special offer from a hotel and finished up not taking the van after all.

We were aware - the camping & caravanning books have given that info

Thanks Lutz
