Must say I've never been sure about these supermarkets, but then who do you trust when buying a car????

From what I can gather this is not the first or second time they have been under investigation.

As has been said, nothing new with them and others before them being investigated.Seems par for the course with all the "supermarket" type car places.

Carcraft sell finance, nothing more, nothing less

For that you get an overpriced car thrown in for free

my son-inlaw phoned me one saturday afternoon saying he was in carcraft and was being pursuaded to buy a 09 plate corsa.....i asked him how much the price was.....he said £9000.........i then asked what the mileage was......after a few ums and arrs they told him 48000.......as it was i was on my laptop......i went to a car trading site and looked at the same type of car at that price....the ones i saw were ex demo cars with 3000 miles on the clock from main dealers.........so i searched for similar age cars and the prices were about 5 to 6 thousand pounds...so i said to him...........offer them 5 and a half for it...........they said 6......so that was £3000 knocked off the price they were selling it for............so the next day me and the wife went with the son-inlaw and my daughter,my son-inlaw is 23yrs old......carcraft then tried to tell me that it was in my interest to put my name down on the finance because they might find it difficult to get him the finance,that was after saying that my son-inlaw had no problems getting finance.
so in no uncertain terms i told them where to stick there finance and there "deals"

(for legal reasons this is my own opinion and nothing to do with practical caravan or haymarket media)

I've used Fords of Winsford twice.
Pluses: Great choice & plenty of unhassled time to look over as many vehicles as you want.
Three keys at at time, and a limited number of accompanied test drives.
Minuses: 1-month guarantee (extendable) not confidence inspiring.
The showroom experience was like buying potatoes!
In comparison The Car Shop on Cardiff's Penarth Rd was so full of minuses I'd run out of space ....
