Carpets for Caravans (2)

For some reason my corrected version did not save, hense all the errors.

Having been a caravanner for some 20 years or so during which time we have had four different caravan, two from new, the one thing that so easily let down a caravan is the mess that the carpets get into.

With our current van, Bailey Ranger 550/6, 3 years ago when new I 'made to measure' four fitted/removable carpet mats. I lift these at the end of each season and jet wash they. The mats still look like new and the caravans carpet has no marks or wear whatsoever which is bound to effect it's resale value/appeal.

I am so enthused by this that I am thinking of starting this as a business, supplying, by post, 'made to measure' carpet mats. For the vast majority of caravan the cost would be 80.00 or below with a choice of 4 different colours. I would be very grateful for any comments and feedback from fellow caravanners.

Many hank

Are they from an eco friendly source?

I have serious doubts if they are from man made fibres as you may end up provoking trouble here.

I fully appreciate your well meaning, but posting you email adddress may be interpreted as advertising for business and result in removal of the post!

With so many vans on the market how will you get all the right patterns ?

Great idea Terry - but - it would not work in the last two Bailey Senators I have owned because the extra height of the carpet plus mat would prevent the opening of certain cupboard and dressing room doors.

I was delighted to find that the Eriba we have ordered has carpets as an extra.

So we were not obliged to pay for something we definitely didn't want.

In the past we used to remove the carpets and leave them at home, which was rather pointless really.
