carry bike hazard warning square

We will be carrying our 2 bikes on a thule rack with cycle attatchments, placed on the tow ball,my question is to we have to use a carry bike warning square?

Hi Degus
Depends where you are travelling.
UK - no legal requirement
France & Spain - Yes (plastic accepted)
Italy - Yes, but it must be the Metal one, plastic not accepted.
The AA website should help if you need to check other countries.

I would have to suggest that you use one anyway, it's much better to use the warning squre as it's a safety issue - regardless of whether there is a legal requirement or not.
