Carver 18000SC Space Heater Failed

So we bought a 1998 Bailey Ranger 440/40 Carvan last year and it is fitted with a Carver 1800SC space heater and a fan master controller. We tried to use the space heater during the winter and it's refusing to work via gas and eletric.

When the fan master is set to gas and we try to ignite the gas fire it will ignite and stay lit as long as i keep the control knob pressed down but as soon as i release the control knob, the pilot light goes out. I repeadelty done this from 30 seconds to about 3 minutes... with no luck. So i read that the space heater can use electricity to function also... so i switch the fan master to eletric and turned the thermostat up high, left it running for an hour and we had no heat. The fan will blow cold air when trying to use both gas and eletric heating functions but we just get no heat.

I would really appreciate some help on how i can fix the gas and/or electriccal heating as its currently just a dust collector with no function at all haha.

Please Help 🙂
