Carver 3 to Carver 2

Changing the housing from a Carver 3 to a Carver 2, I have the ridgid type pipes with the push fir connectors.My caravan dealer has told me its just a question of pushing it onto the connecter but its slightly larger than the carver3 and just wont push in- Help!
 
Yes caught myself out with this, sent a mk2 kit to Spain and he's emailing me saying 'exactly' the same as you?!

The problem is and I did not realise either, the black plastic 'elbow' connection on the mk3 is bespoke to the mk3, you cannot swap it over to the mk2

Solution then is to ask your dealer for a standard 12mm x 12mm push fit elbow fitting, this fits the mk2 12mm diameter stem, now discard the original 'straight' push fit connector and your 12mm water pipe will fit the other end of the new elbow, job done
