Carver Fanmaster Fire

My caravan (Swift Challenger 480SE) has a carver fanmaster fire and every trip I make I have to replace the control knob in the top of the housing. Has anybody else got this problem and if so have they managed to sort it so it doesnt pop out every time. Ken

It is spring loaded so that it pulls off when you remove the front. (It is the gas control I assume.) It attaches to a rod that goes to the gas valve. Might need a new one.

Hi Kenneth,

Yes this sometimes does happen.

The wire hoop on the end of the actuating rod can be opened up a bit to make the knob fit tighter or easier still a bit of Blue Tack in the hole normally holds it in place.

Just back from a glorious week down the Mull of Galloway and I can report that using Blue Tack did the trick with the fire.
