Hello, has anyone had the pleasure of replacing the pcb at the back of the fanmaster ? we have a elddis hurricane gtx. need help in gaining access to it

Changing it is easy enough, it's getting at it that's possibly hard work and that depends on where it's situated?

In the base of the wardrobe with access from above and it's easy, but, if only a drawer above for access then the gas fire needs to come out to get at it!

Problem with that is re-installing the gas fire and ensuring it's then safe to use.

Once you have access it's then a simple matter of removing the outer plastic cover and changing the board, you will possible need a good quality 2mm Allen key to remove the rivet like fixings on that.

However it's only fair to warn you, the board is nearly always damaged by the fan motor so this must also be changed to ensure you don't find yourself back to square one when the new board packs up soon after changing it?!

Depending on your actual fault it could also be the control switch at fault, a faulty board then is possibly not the problem at all?

So with the above in mind, I offer an overhaul service which includes a new motor for little more than the cost of a board! and you also get a 12 month warranty!
