Carver water connection security clip broken

I inherited my van (our first) with one of the carver water pump connection security clips (the lower one) broken off. You can get replacement clips easy enough but I was wondering if anyone has experience of replacing them? It's sheared off level with the base so there's nothing to grip onto. I was going to drill it out (very slowly) with a narrower drill bit. Is this the way to do it? Do the new ones simply push in? I'm guessing they've a ridge or similar to hold them in place once pushed home? So many questions for such a small item, sorry.

Regards

Paul

Don't drill it out but a 3mm drill bit would be ideal to punch the broken plastic pin through the hole from the outside inward.

Simple job then to push the new one in place
