to put it plain and simple are you able to do number 2s in a cassette toilet or would this cause blockages? do the chemicals break it down?

i know its not the nicest of posts but my 3 yr old seems to have this habit of waking up needing a number 2 at 3am!

Keith, providing you have at least the correct measurement of fluid in the cassette as stated on the bottle there is no problem with having a number 2 in the cassette toilet. Some people avoid it at all costs but I have a 5 and a 7 year old and when they have to go - they have to go. I usually give the cassette a shake on the way to the emtying point just to aid the breakdown process. The chemicals don't break it down to the point that you won't see the odd "golden nugget" but it's bearable. A little tip is before the toilet is used lay a cross of toilet paper in the bowl and when the deed is done and the flap opened it should, in theory, parcel the number 2 without leaving marks on the bowl - genius!

Hope this helps Dave

It's the 5 star private facilities that makes caravanning a wonderful holiday for my other half. That and the electric hook up for the hair-dryer of course.
