Castlerigg Hall, Keswick and Fluscowood nr Penrith

We have booked into the two above sites, and are looking for any comments good or bad anyone may have that have stayed there.

At Castlerigg we have been allocated a pitch at the bottom of the site which has views of the mountains but not quite as good as other pitches, also can you walk from this site into Keswick with 2 young children. any commenst appreciated!

Thanks Andrew.

Castlerigg IS on the side of quite a steep hill. Lovely location with all the pitches for caravans in enclosures and level.

Keswick town centre about two miles distant downhill all the way. Personally I wouldn't have thought it was a suitable walk with two young children especially the return journey back up to the site.

Stayed there in April and loved it.

Vic
