Castleward Caravan Park Northern Ireland

Our first trip out with the Carvan.
Castleward is a National Trust caravan site situated on the Coast of Strangford Lough.
It has 27 Hard standings with ehu and water. Laundry facilities and showers/toilet block.
A very pleasant spot and very family friendly. There is plenty of scenery and things to do with the kids including walking and cycling trails.
This being our inaugural trip, started with lots of faffing around making sure we were hitched correctly and driving quite sedately to get the hang of having that extra mass behind the car!
The weather was changeable so the planned barbecue didn't happen but its not as much of a problem in a caravan as it is when in a tent! 🙂
Upon arrival a good hour was spent just setting things up and remembering where everything connected.. I'm proud to say i didn't look at the owners manual once.
All in all it was a very pleasant experience and a good introduction to caravans, it was a shame it was only for one night as none of us wanted to go home!
