CC booking ferries

Hi all

Has anyone tried booking ferries with CC online?

It used to be that when you inputed your info you would see all crossing and then one could click which ever company and it went through to more crossing times and prices....

I have just tried it brings up the operators but only time and just asks you you book.

Is this the morm ?

seems I woudlhave to sit online for a long time to do different times..

Yes, I have used the online chat but no help/.

You can do it with no problems. Select 'Overseas Trips', then 'Book Overseas Sites & Ferry or Eurotunnel', then 'Add ferry or Eurotunnel'. Then you 'Select route' - and choose 'France - Dover and Tunnel', or France ' All other routes' or any of the other 'multiple choice options' rather than a single operator, then input your preferred dates and times. When the choices come up (it will show you sample prices from DFDS, P and O, SeaFrance and Eurotunnel, etc) just click on 'More options from this operator' and you'll see a variety of times for the various sailings available on your chosen dates.

Agree with Dianne and Val, but also have to say that it is not the most user-friendly site in the world. Please also be aware that it is sometimes way behind the ferry company websites in terms of availablitiy and timetable information. Earlier this year brittany had details of the Plymouth - St Malo New Year sailings up some days before they appeared on the CC site with the result they were nearly fully booked before you could do so on-line via CC.

If you have constratints as to when you can travel, suggest you first look at the ferry operator site and note times etc. then try the CC site to see if the same data appears. if not, call CC and tell them what you found on the ferry website. They will then call the ferry operator directly for your booking (I say 'they will' - they certainly did for me).

Hello,
Booked last week no problems, and also it was alot cheaper alot lot cheaper. I should imagine if Sea France go down then the other two out of Dover will increase their prices.
