CC site : Moreton in Marsh

We are booked for a long weekend at the CC site in Moreton In Marsh in the Cotswolds. Can anyone offer any specific advuice about this site; best places to pitch etc? we are looking for hard-standing with elcetric and water.

Thanks !

John

It is a large site John and for what I remember theres not many pitches stand out from the rest. A nice clean site but rather featureless I thought, unlike some sites where they have little nooks and crannies for those who like privacy. If I remember correctly we were on #43 which was as good as you get.

Most pitches at Moreton are hard standing with electric though I am not sure if any have dedicated water supply. There can be some road noise, though I have never noticed it, so pitch away from the entrance. Kite flying is discouraged due to overhead power lines at the play area. Plenty of eateries in the village if needed.

Going to Moreton next weekend. 2nd or 3rd time in as many years. Excellent site for access to town, shops etc. as already mentioned mainly hard standings, most with hook-ups, TV aerial sockets in elec. posts ( take a length of coax aerial) Try to park away from road side of site (traffic noise). most pitches are level. Have heard that one toilet block is due to be refurbished this winter, but dont know when work is to start. Have a good time and hope this posting is of some use to you.

I agree with Mark. Lovely site but keep away from perimeter as road noise in morning can be annoying.
