Just returned from a weeks holiday at Freshwater East. We loved the site, owners were friendly, both the site and the toilet blocks were clean and it was pretty quiet. The size of the pitches were fine. They were not using the grass when we were there as it was a bit waterlogged.
If you are taking a tv then you will need a lead to link up to the electrical posts as there is no signal (analog or digital)that I could detect. I guess satellite is ok though. They do sell a 25metre lead for
We stopped there August last year, lovely site, popular with families during school holidays, short walk to the beach. Tenby is not far away. Plan to return there again in the future.
Thanks for your replies, especially you Steve, that would have taken me ages to write with my one finger approach. We've now booked up to go in June, so may even see Gill there, it sounds ideal.
A really good, quiet site, the hill isn`t really a problem unlees you`re walking up it to get to the pub at the top where the food is decent and the beer likewise. It also has a beer garden that looks out across the bay.
If you`re feeling energetic walk the coast path from the site west towards Stackpole and the National Trust land and tearoom by the little harbour, then on to Barafundle Bay which is rated as one of the best beaches in the U.K. If you are lazy/infirm/scared of sheer drops you can get a minibus from outside the site to the N.T property.
