Changing gas type

Having suffered with gas problems we are now considering changing from Butane to Propane. What do we need to do and what will it cost please?

If you have a cylinder mounted regulator then you will need a new Propane regulator, and change them over, dont forget a new stainless steel jubilee clip for the hose.,cost about

You have not indicated the problems. The main advantage of propane is that it can be used in cold weather. However, on a technical merit there is little difference between the 2 gases.

If you are having problems not connected to temperature, then changing gas will not solve them.

Most gas companies and their retailers allow you to change between Butane and Propane bottles without any surcharge, and the other way round. Bottle size to size, Propane is normally slightly cheaper, but you get less weight and slightly less energy.
