Does anyone know a awning repair center or a good website where

I can purchase some Awning Channel Tape?

I have tried several Caravan repair centres, but without luck

Regards Jorgen

I'm surprised that you've drawn a blank.

Most dealers seem to stock it.

Certainly Harringtons of Delamere have it in the shop.

You need to take/send a sample to get the correct width.

Thanks John for the info, I shall be on to them when they open

again between x-mas & New Year.

In the meantime if anybody else knows where to get Channel Tape,

then please keep coming as my need is a bit special so it will

be good with a wide selection of suppliers.

Thanks again Jorgen

The beading tape that fits in to the alluminium tracking on your van is called Keder or Luff tape if you are in the sailing world as they use it as attachment on some sails. I can supply in small quantity if you have a problem and I also have account with a main UK supplier. Also have sewing workshop within my business with machines suitable for canvas repairs.

If you are stuck or have specific needs I can probably help.

CARAVAN MARKET IS NOT MY BUSINESS, I do not want to upset or abuse this website but have access to many materials used in the Awning business.

If the forum moderators are OK with it and there is some way of making direct comptact give me a call back and I will help if I can as I often get people pased to me for Keder and HD zip needs.

Awning repairs are not always easy as the materials tend to shrink and stretch with use. If you are repairing Keder or zips DO NOT just take the dameged stuff off the fabric as it can be a big big problem getting it all to line up after you remove it.

Same problem with removing damaged windows in Awnings!
