Charging my battery

Does anyone know if I hook up my caravan to the 240v at home via a 3 pin square plug converter if it charges the caravan battery at the same time??

Tugster, mines plugged in all the time charging. What I did was put a socket on the outside of my garage and just use a short caravan lead. Plug in just as you do on site. You could use a converter but I wouldnt keep that on all the time. I wired mine on its own low fuse on a board in the garage.

Hi Tugster, as long as your battery is connected and your battery charger is switched on your battery will be charged. I am like you lucky enough to have my van at home. I leave the power on full time and the battery charger, they are designed to be able to do this. Warm the van up every week or so and keep it dried out and you will not suffer with the condensation problems like others have when you go away.Good luck JTS.
