A lovely site with all usual CC Club facilities. Short pleasant walk to Baslow which has shops and pubs. The site is in an old walled garden; you get a key which lets you through the wall into the Chatsworth Estate. This is great for walking - we didn't use the car all week. Try the fantastic Chatsworth Farm Shop for top food, gourmet-style. Chatsworth House is a good day out. Handy for the Peaks; go!

Jo-anne,

We used this site a few years ago.It is extremely popular,so it is essential to book ahead. Also it is important to obey the rules about going in to the estate,as the access road is only single width. The site has a gate which you are given a key to,and then you have the whole estate to explore. The House and Grounds are at a reduced rate for Club Members....well worth seeing.Ducks wander round the site and when we were there, the warden sold duck food !!Great fun for the children.

We felt the pitches were slightly tighter than some other Club Sites, but it is worth a stay there.

There is a farm shop belonging to the estate which has a wonderful selection of top class goods.....and the restaurant in the Big House is good value for money.

Hi,it one of our favourite site, plenty of walks around the estate and by the river for miles, good for dogs too, do take plenty of bread for the ducks there load of them, very nice clean toilet and shower, but do find the pitch on the small size, other than that a great place to be, enjoy it.

Yes thats abosultely true, We got there early, drove in over the little bridge and the warden made me drive around the site and out again, and not to come back until it was admission time. OK I was wrong and we've discussed this to death. But there were plenty of spaces on the site as we drove by and out.

be warned !!!!!
