Hi Lizzie
Is it possible for members of the public to advertise their privately owned used caravan for sale in the new classified section, and if so how do they go about it?
Thanks :)

Getting better - one thing that could be improved (from a new to caravaning, post-97 licence users perspective) is the MTPLM options (they are far too broad!)

I know I can edit the URL but it would be better if the form/filter allowed you to specify the max MTPLM, as, lets face it, for many new caravaners, this will be a critical (legal) figure!

Hi there! No, at present this isn't possible. It is a feature we hope to roll out in the future, though.

Thanks Lizzie, it could become a useful website resource.
Is there any possibility of allowing bonafide non commercial forum members to advertise caravan accessories such as used awnings, aquarolls and other assorted caravanning goodies at some future stage please?
I have no compunction about removing spam submitted by commerce seeking free advertising for goods or services, but it's sometimes hard to take down an advert from a loyal long serving forumite who is trying to flog his old camping chairs or something similar via this forum, especially in view of the fact that all other caravan related internet websites allow free classified adverts for accessories.
I'd be more than happy to monitor such a service to prevent scam merchants and spammers if there was a way to allow members classified ads on a designated message board, subject to the usual T&Cs that would protect this website and those who own and administer it.

In the fullness of time, we'd like all this to be incorporated into the classifieds platform, however developing it takes time, so I thank you all for your patience.

Come now Mel, hush your cynical disbelieving tongue
After all, I've only been asking for members accessories classified ads to be allowed for the past seven and a half years or more: http://www.practicalcaravan.com/forum/equipment-accessories/29891-selling-equipment-accessories#224362 :(

Au contraire Roger
It's often said that I have a very good head of hair for a man looking forward to his 65th birthday in a few weeks time. There are a few lighter sections around the sideburns but I prefer to think of them as natural highlights which display maturity and wisdom  I have the utmost confidence that Lizzie will be true to her word, this website is light years in advance of its predecessors thanks in no small parts to the unseen efforts of Lizzie.

That's an idea I hadn't thought of for a marginal weigh in at weight watchers
