Having upgraded from a Lunar Freelander 2000 to a new Lunar Clubman, we're missing the old cocktail cabinet. Has anyone a solution or what to do you do with your glasses etc ?

1 - Fill them with wine and consume
2 - Put them on my face to read with
3 - Convert to a box rather than a bottle and drink straight from the tap

We have a cocktail cabinet that takes 3 bottles, but only if they are below a certain diameter. The rack takes 6 glasses, but the upper rack has not held them in transit, so we have had 3 broken glasses bought especially for the caravan left of 6. We now tend to use a collapsable crate with wheels (ex accessory from brothers citroen picasso) that we fill with food stuffs, bottles, glasses etc and place over the axle to give some weight on it. Once on site we empty contents into overhead lockers and use for putting footwear in to keep muck off the carpets.

We find better stability if there is a load over the axle. As we have a rule of only 1 bag for clothes (took some doing to get the girls to only pack what they need), that bag plus the box seems to give the required result.

And how pray did you manage to get girls to pack lightly? My 4 haven't got the knack yet.

I suppose you could just drink out of the bottle, but we use plastic glasses kept in the crockery and cup storage area.

After years of piling the MH up with unused junk / clothes etc that never saw the light of day and went home unused, I stuck my foot down.

In combination with the fact that it is my licence at risk for the sake of needless packing of stuff not used, I issued an ultimatum. 'You drive / tow my car and the caravan!!'.

This was last summers main holiday packed clothes bag for the 3 of us for just over a week, the collapsible box goes to the right. Simples 😛

We never travelled with bottles in place but never had any problems with the glasses clipped in as there was a small rubber band stopping them from opening. We've just got back from Cirencester and we had all the glasses iand bottles in a tesco wine carrier bag and kept that in the boot. So we may just carry on doing that...... unless anyone has a better idea.
