Has anybody been to this site before and where would you recomend a place for a family meal. We will be arriving tonight for a few days R & R.
 
We went to the site last year for the first time. The nearest eatery is a Hungry Horse pub 100 yards down the road from the site entrance.

There is another pub across the main road opposite Sainsburys and various eateries on the retail park at the back of the Cheshire Oaks retail outlet.
 
We went here about three weeks ago with our two children 3 and 4 year olds. Nice site good playground. We went to the Hungry Horse pub for dinner one night. I thought it was good value and portion sizes are huge, dont have starters. I ordered fish and chips and it was massive. Hubby ordered sirloin steak for about 6.99 and it was good. Kids enjoyed it.

As well as the eating places close by mentioned above, the site also has an information centre that had sample menues and hand written recommendations from previous visitors on other restaurants/inns in the area. At least there was last time I was there.
