Christchurch, Forest of Dean

Robert we have stayed here twice. There are three sites under the one name all next to each other.Facilities are ok and the countryside around is superb. Will go again.Tom.

There are 3 Forestry sites in the same area, Christchurch, Bracelands and the Woodland site. They insist you have up todate facillities for the Woodlands site as there are no toilets, just taps and disposal points. Pets are allowed on the Braceland site but not on the Christchurch one. Amenities are very basic, or they used to be but thwey can still get very busy and very full especially bank holiday weekends. The Woodland site is level but you will need to be more selective on the other 2 to get a flat pitch. Some nice walks in the area, through the forest and down to the river Wye. Great place for kids to run around. Symonds Yat is well worth a visit, Yat Rock a must and Symonds Yat West with the maze. Have a great time and if you like this sort of thing I know you will go again and again.

Mike
