Christmas & New Year - Where have you booked?

I know it is early to start this thread however I am thrilled because we have just managed to get booked on the Quiet Site in Ullswater by Penrith from 29 December right through to the New Year. I know various sites are booked up and was worried as my holidays at work were only just confirmed that no one would have us. Has anyone been to the Quiet Site over the New Year, they have the olde worlde bar is this any good on New Years Eve?

Where has everyone else booked?

We tried to book a CC or C&CC site but apart from a few in Scotland there wasn't much available. We booked Manor Wood in Cheshire in the end. Not a club site but looks fine.

Going to Hunters Moon CC site from the 28th to New Year.

Hope it is really cold as the forest is beautiful in the morning frost.

Roll On Xmas..............

Like dale above we are also off to Rowntree Park at York over the New Year period Dec 27th to Jan 4th.

See you there dale!!.

Off to Ord House Country Park in Berwick from 29th for 4 nights.

10 of us, 6 adults and 4 kids, in 2 caravans. Can't wait as this is our 1st time away at New Year.

Curious to know how anyone is getting Rowantree Park as it is listed as being closed for December, opening 4th January. I could have seen it being listed as 'full' as usual, but no, this time it is listed as shut.

Are there 2 booking means for this site??, or am I misunderstanding the colour coding?

Scotch Lad,

Chatsworth is the same. Click on previous month under bookings and all is revelled. It is a hiccup with the new web site!!

I rang and informed them today. The club have to rely on the software people to fix it.
