Christmas Presents

Are you stuck for ideas for a different Christmas Present for someone?
Fed up with the usual socks/smellies/etc etc .

Why not get something which most people should have, but dont?

Do a friend a very big favour and get them a Carbon Monoxide Alarm.

It does not have to be for a caravan, one in the Home is just as important and could be a lifesaver.

Think about it!!!!!!

Why would you need one for the home unless you had an open fire?

Ermmmmm,,so gas cookers cannot give off Carbon Monoxide,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,YES they can, and do.
So a central heating boiler cannot develop a flue leak,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,YES it can.
So in an older installation with an open flue instantaneous water heater, it cannot give off CO,,,,,,,,,,,,,YES it can.
So an inset gas fire cannot suffer a blocked flue? YES it can.

Depending where you live exhaust fumes from outside can enter your home without you knowing about it, and they contain CO.

There are 5 reasons, how many more do you want?

I've told my wife I'm thinking of buying her a CO alarm this year. It's obviously awoken a keenness for health and safety because she then asked me to include a small fire axe in her stocking.

Thanks. Guess we miss that as we live in a rural location and do not have gas. Not sure however that exhaust fumes from cars passing by.
Shouldn't be a Xmas present but a mandatory item fitted as soon as possible.

Can you get them in 22 carat with diamonds inlaid?? No?? well I don't think Christmas would be a very happy if they don't!!!!!!!

…… a few years ago I worked with a guy who lost both his parents to CO poisoning.
They fell asleep in their kitchen where they had a coke fired boiler with a faulty flue.
At that time CO detectors had not been invented........now they are cheap and easy to use.
