It must be remembered that Christmas is not only about giving away expensive presents that many cannot afford, but is also a time to remember why we celebrate Christmas. 🇨🇽

Due to my own health issues, my wife organises Christmas cards and presents early, these have already been sent to family and friends. This is so that all those we care about will not be forgotten and if I am ill we can relax knowing that this is covered.

If I was that ill, ( and I hope you will not be) sending Christmas Cards will be the last thing on my mind.,
We stopped sending Christmas cards years ago, we give £50 to Local hospice and the Sally Army.

We still send cards in UK and overseas, together with letters, although the latter are now sent online.

Thanks for reminding us. We've booked our flights to a nice quiet far away place over Christmas to escape from all the hustle and bustle of that time of the year.

Envious or what ? Instead of of all going out to a pub, we are again hosting the extended family for Christmas Day. Two grandchildren are cooking lunch and arranging the supplies, as well as three air fryers coming over. I will probably take the dog to the Downs and receive a text 30-40 minutes before starters are ready. 😱

No, it’s me that’s envious in your being able to get away. I don’t particularly like Christmas as the materialistic run up to the main holiday really irritates me. Plus being married for 57 years and hosting present and passed the novelty wears off.

We still do UK Christmas cards, but sadly in South Africa mail delivery no longer exists. The last time we were able to send cards in about 2018, they did not get delivered until February although they were sent on October!

We also like to donate to British heart foundation and buy food bags for local charities . .
