CITROEN C8 or PEUGEOT 807 PEOPLE CARRIER

Any one out there towing with a HDI citroen C8 or HDI Peugeot 807

people carrier? 2.0 or 2.2 Hdi how do they compare? How do these two compare to the Alhambra/Galaxy/Sharan people carriers? Any comments good or bad appreciated. Thanks MIke.

I have run a 2.2 hdi citroen C8 for the last 2 years.The 1st year we went to the French med and the turbo failed south of Dijon (4000 miles on the clock). We were stuck for 5 days whilst it was repaired. Since then I have had several minor niggling faults mainly electrical. I tow an Avondale Dart 556(max all up weight 1300kg)and get 24 - 25 mpg when towing.Around town solo I get 28-30mpg and on a Motorway run 34-36mpg. I have'nt any experience with Galaxy etc so I can't comment on them. If I were in the market for another people carrier my first choice would be something Japenese and more reliable probably a Toyota Previa. To sum up -nice car to drive, tows well but not the most reliable car I have owned.

We have a Toyota Previa 2.5 petrol,little bit thirsty but tows our Lunar Quasar 524 like a dream
