The Website mentioned in PC this month is new to me and something I always wished the clubs did. As they say a picture is worth a thousand words - http://www.5van.co.uk/

Theres not that many sites on there but I have found one locally I never knew about that looks a gem. More power to the webmasters elbow I say.

yes milord the 5van site is growing in popularity.

Have you tried the microsoft autoroute and from one of the sites you can import all of the CC main sites and CL's

I whilst having SatNav will be using my laptop with this software to assist in the selection and directions.

Its ok for her Ladyship to have her flatscreen tele and DVD recorder Shiraz but she wont let me have a laptop. She says its the only time she gets to talk to me when we're away because I'm always on the computer at home. In the van shes always watching tele in the dark evenings so I just cant win. I'm doing something wrong somewhere. Any help would be appreciated but running her over isn't an option heheheh!

Hi Milord - I have over the years tried to understand my wife and just when I think I've cracked it I find another surprise is just around the corner.

My main interests are travelling, photography and computing since I have become totally digital I can now use the computer as my "dark room " Over the years I have compiled a photo library and have transferred my photos onto CD (this done over the winter months)

When we both retired from business we decided to revisit the UK

and when I was taking photos my wife was looking on like a wallflower and looking bored etc. I bought her a Canon S45 digital camera which takes great shots even when only using the Auto mode. that did the trick and from being a bystander she is now an enthusiastic participant.

When I said that a laptop would able us to download our photos and view them immediately she said lets have one. and that how it is.

I find that caravanning and photography go well together and if you join the National Trust and English Heritage you find that visiting the places near to where you are staying is a very economical to do.

thats how I got the laptop.

Shiraz, been there and done it. Your hobbies are much the same as mine. As I posted in another topic I collect old photos and find those places and take a pic of what it looks like now. I then edit them on my computer, crop/correct the tone/text etc then print a then and now pic. I've now got pics from John O Groats to Lands End, all since I had my first caravan 2 years ago. I bought my wife a Casio Exilim so she could take pics too. While I'm hunting these places down she acts as my secretary ticking off and writing down the pics I've taken, gives her something to do and stops her whinging heheh. We really do go off the beaten track to get these pics, places we wouldn't normally go to so to help I bought a SatNav. I think I would be pushing my luck too far to carry on pursueing the laptop :O( if I want to see Christmas that is.
