Cleaning Carpets

Is it wise to use a vax machine to clean the carpets of my 2004 Bailey Senator? I use the van for working away as well as holidays and the campsite I'm on gets quite muddy in the winter. I always remove my shoes on a mat by the door but working 12 hrs a day means the van can get a little messy. I would only use one on a hot day, when there's a good chance of it drying quickly. Thanks for your help!

Hi Gary

I used a Bissell machine on my carpets in the caravan and there was no problem. It did a good job, dried fairly quickly and the result was well worth the effort. Good luck

Chris

The carpets on our first caravan were so full of sand and dirt that we ended up soaking them with a watering can full of hot water before sucking it out with a wetndry vacuum, about 10 tanks of filthy water later the carpet was a different colour and the treatment did not appear to cause any future problems so I do not expect the use of a carpet washing attachment on a Vax would cause problems if used wisely
