Cleaning Powrtouch mover

I was told the best way to keep the Powrtouch gear clean was to wash it and when dry spray it with silicone. Would this be the stuff I use on the awning rail ?

Silicone should be ok, or WD40, 3 in 1 etc, i use just oil and a rag on my Reich mover, just avoid the rollers. Also grease all joints.

Hi. I was advised only last week by Powertouch to use White Lithium grease aerosil version. Not WD 40
