Yes, 4 years ago. We had vouchers for 2 free nights when we bought our van. It was outside the school holidays and very pleasant, with the OH making good use of the indoor pool. The on-site fish & chip shop served very tasty food. The site could get very busy and noisy during school holidays as it is extremely large and it also includes static vans. Worth going though.

I used to take the family there way back in the late 70's and my two girls loved it. Just last months the girls rented a house in Dawlish and for the same week I took my caravan to a lovely CC CL on the top of Cofton Hill. The girls were intrigued to see the site again and I drove past it every day. As WC says, the site was heaving with vans and people and I could imagine it would be noisy - but then it was the 2nd week of August. Also some of the touring pitches back onto the main road. Plenty to do and see in the area. See my Dawlish blog. .https://jondogoescaravanning.wordpress.com/dawlish-devon-august-2016/

We called in in August to look at Seasonal pitches and it was heaving not for us thanks.

We went to Crofton years ago and what took us in was the photo of the club house and swimming pool but when we arrived there was a field full of tenters, never been back,

All booked now, only two hard standing pitches left! I'm sure we will have a nice time, hopefully the weather holds up and the traffic isn't bedlam!
