Colchester Camping CC Site

Have you been? What did you think?

Have just spent a night there. Thought it was a generally tired site and not up to usual CC standards (I appreciate it is only an associated site). Dog walk only about 50 yards long.

Staff not very friendly :-(

Guess it would be OK for a quick overnight en-route to/from Harwich ferries.

Hi David,

We spent May Day bank holiday at Colchester Camping.

We would definately agree with you, a tired site, and the road noise is terrible! Also the pitches are a bit too close for comfort, being a busy time of the year there was not enough space between each unit to put up an awning and for the neighbouring caravan to park their car.

It would be OK as a stop over, but not recommended for a longer stay, we will not be using this site again.

PS forgot to add. I emailed a complaint to the CC....their reply was they would be looking into it upon their annual inspection!!!
