Collapsible mugs, bowls and buckets

Ever considered collapsible buckets, plates, bowls and mugs for your motorhome holidays? We've just been testing some colourful products from Outwell, Easycamp, Gelert and Lifeventure for a future issue of Practical Motorhome. Read a few of our latest kitchenware reviews online here.

We tested the Outwell Collaps Range, Lifeventure collapsible kitchenware, the new Gelert compact kettle and some amazing plates from Easycamp that store flat, but pop up origami-style.

What are your experiences of collapsible and compact cookware?

We've seen several ranges in the shops but most of them are quite expensive for what they are.

The exception was a range sold by B&M Bargains (now no longer stocked I believe). Last year they had collapsible washing up bowls but, unfortunately, they were rectangular and our MH sink is round. However, when they had collapsible buckets on sale earlier this year we found that we had a fit if used in its partially collapsed state.

That as a boon because rigid bowls for our Smev are either the correct diameter but too tall for use with the cover or low enough but small diameter.

It can also be used as a bucket
