compas camino 554 reviews

Hi All

Has any one got any reviews on the compas camino 554 looking at purchasing one later today just thought id ask as i have not come across them before so really not if they hold there money well and also build quality.

Compass caravans are built by Eldiss, unless pre 1998, and in general are different from Eldiss mainly in the interior colours, which should not make any difference if you like the caravan. They should hold their price as well as any other make but in the PC owners surveys they have been bottom in all years except one for customer satisfaction and scored badly on build quality. They always seem well designed though, often better than the opposition.
The business was bought out last year by German firm Edwin Hymer and hopefully the quality issues are now being addressed.
The magazine website has not reviewed the 554 but you will find two other Camino ones and the Capiro 554 which is the next model up the range and has the same layout. You will also find a review on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfpwcZip0lE

Thanks for your comments,just having a last minute wobble on which caravan to pick definitely going for the island bed with end wash room think it will be the camino.

Ended up buying the camino maybe due to the wife likeing blue and we havnt seen any about not sure if thats a good thing or bad thougb but we pick it up a week on friday.

Just an update so far so good no real issues with the caravan to be honest its been great so far just seams a bit skitty when over taking HGV are larger vehicles , having only seen one other on the road to Cornwall not sure if others have had issues with Compass but like i say impressed at the moment
