connecting towing electrics into light clusters

Hope someone can help out here with the connecting of the towbar electrics on my Citroen Berlingo Multispace.

Earlier in the year I bought and fitted a Citroen towbar from the main agents, the fitting was very straightforward. It was also supplied with the full electric wiring kit which has wiring for N and S type sockets.

I dont want to use or connect the S socket, just the N socket for lights etc.

Can anyone confirm that if I just connect the two connectors which fit to the rear lights that would be ok, (would I also require an earth connection?). I would then just hide all the unconnected cables and wires beneath a panel in the boot.

Could someone plaese confirm that this would be ok as I don't want to invalidate any warranty.

thanks in anticipation Tony

Tony, if the kit has simple plugs as end terminals, and they match the sockets on the clusters, it should be a case of just connecting them, the earth *should* already be part of the plug.

Word of warning though, if your vehicle has multiplex wiring, you need to confirm the connections with the garage or a towbar fitter.

Thanks Damian

Thw wiring kit is made by Citroen to wire up the berlingo so I would assume that it will suit the wiring system on the vehicle.

I will contact the supplying agent before I make a start to check this out.

Cheers Tony
