connection of new cable to old for caravan plugs

hi - i to have this problem but where my cable has dragged on the floor it leaves me about 1 foot short on the length of cable so if i were to add some more cable to lengthen it - what is the best way of connecting the old cable to the new ?

is there a special connector?

thanks

Whichever cable it is, get a waterproof box and a choc block connector strip,

Mount the box to the underside of the caravan at the front and join the cable using the choc block.

Replace the whole new front piece, and fit a new plug at the same time.

you guys have been brilliant tonight

keep upmthe good work

I mounted the chocolate block inside the caravan in the front foot locker under the chest of drawers, so it doesn't need to be waterproofed.

you could fit a female connector to the front of the A frame and have a short cable with a plug on each end.a wood block would be reqired on the underside of the plastic to carry the fitting.some caravans have two of these and a removable coiled cable at each side.
