Hi,

We're about to travel Europe for the first time in our caravan this summer. ( 7 Days in Holland...only 19 miles from ferry terminal ! )

I was wanting to shop around for breakdown cover / repatriation for car & caravan.

So far I've only had a quote the caravan club's 'red penant'.

Is there anyone else that is worth getting a quote from ?

Thanks,

Mike.

Try Moneysupermarket.com. They offer a good range of policies - but so many can offer unwanted cover such as finding your accommodation has not been completed or, in one case, the staff are taking industrial action - neither of which is of much use to caravanners. Look for good medical cover too. You need to take time to go through all the wording. Also check to see if your car and/or caravan insurance offers any of the sort of cover you require.

Also try the Camping and Caravan Club. I found their Carefree motoring and personal policy a better deal than Red Pennant from the Caravan Club. Although, I hasten to add, I have not made a claim on either one and as they say - the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
