HELP NEEDED

I have just purchased a Elddis 2000 Super Storm Crusader.

I have a row of switches ,meter,On/off fused Switches, over the entrance door, some of which are understandable and some that are not.

Perhaps at this point I should say that I have been trying to workout how the Hot Water heater works, I understand that it will work on gas or mains electric, I have had both switches

on,on the row indicating Fused Switches and there is no hot water, I have the power plugged into the van, someone suggested there was an over load switch at the end of the heater but I haven't managed to find it so far.

Any way the panels are as follows:

No 1 from left to right is a Blank plate

No2 has a rocker switch which is fused with a red light on

No3 has CARVER on it with three small light vertical top one is Green next one down is Yellow and the next is Red, at the bottom

there are two buttons (I)and (0)

No 4 is the same as No2

No5 is the Battery reading ( Thats OK )

No6 has two rows of red rocker switches which I can understand are for the Lights and pump etc.

Any help I can get will be appreciated

Hi Terry,

As far as the water heater is concerned, the overload button on the heater is located in the centre on the end of the hot tank, under the seat where it is fitted, as you lift the seatyou should see a white plastic box on the end of the tank, with a red button in the centre, that is the reset switch, it just presses in gently and returns.

The electric power to the heater will be either switch 2 or 4, fill the water system and switch on one of the switches and wait about 20 minutes before trying the hot water to see if its warm, if its not, switch off the switch and try the other one, do the same, wait before trying the hot water, then mark the switch with a Dymo label.

The control 3, Carver, is the gas side of the water heater.

When you press the (i)button, you should hear a (clunk) from the heater as the gas valve opens and then a ticking as it ignites and the gren light should come on, and stay on.

If it goes to any other colour there is a fault and you need it looking at.

Hi Damian,

Thanks for that info you were right, I found the reset button had blown out, I did as you suggested with that and the two switches, every thing is now fine, except for what s the other main switch for

Could it be the Fire heater if so could give me any info on how to start that up

Terry
