Control panel in Fleetwood Heritage.

When filling the onboard tank on my 2008 Heritage, everything electrical went off including the control panel and the display on the Alde heating panel. Nothing had tripped, as all I did was swith the control panel back on again. This has never happened before and does not happen every time. Help, does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Carl. This has happened to me twice now and I realised that I had accidentally touched the centre button on the control panel which switched the whole thing off. Could this be the case for you as well?

Turk, you may be on to something there, I am absolutely convinced that whilst I was checking the level in the tank that I have touched the centre button to see if the level information would stay on rather than have to page through again.I should have realised that the centre button actually switches the whole thing off.

I spoke to the person that developed the system for Fleetwood when I had a warranty repair on my control screen and I put him the problems that I had found with the system.

The pump should cut out when the onboard tank is full. You have to stand there and watch the tank fill so you can switch it off before it overflows - answer - not enough memory in the panel.

Having to keep switching the panel back to the tank level screen when it resets to the time clock screen - answer _ Good idea we can alter the timing so it stays on for say five minutes.

Maybe there will be a simple mod on the newer models, not much help to people with the older version though.

Two other tips he gave me were:-

1. If you remove your leisure battery make sure you cover up the solar panel on the roof, otherwise problems.

2. Always switch off the pump before you switch off the control panel. Early models had a problem if this was not done but the thought it had been rectified now. To be on the safe side I do it now as a matter of course.

I had not heard of switching the pump first, but it sounds like a good idea, I will start doing that from now on. I knew about the solar panel/battery/control panel problem, this can cause the display to freeze, but apparently this can be fixed by removing the connector from behind the display for a couple of minutes and then re-connecting.
