Control panel showing ‘No Connect’

Hi, New member so this is my first post if anyone can advise please.

I have a Swift Conqueror 540 2008 which has just had a full service but is now showing ‘no connect’ on the control panel.
Contacted the company who serviced the van and they don’t want to know even though they tripped the house electrics during the service.
All fuses checked and battery fully charged etc Can anybody help please?

If they tripped your house electrics during the service tjey clearly did something wrong.

I woukd be inclined to write or better still email) them (so you have proof) pointing out the defect that you now have following their work. If there was a fault on your system tjey should have identified that to you on the service paperwork. They clearly didnt do that, possibly because they caused it when whatever they were doing tripped the household electrics.

Tell them they need to return and correct the fault, at their expense of course, or you will take the matter further.

Hi, Thanks for reply
He said they trip the electrics as part of the service so it must be a fault with our electrics to trip the house which is absolute rubbish then he tried blaming the battery. Had my daughter video that the battery worked the motor mover. He’s saying he guarantees nothing they have done in the caravan has caused the fault but everything passed the service and it was absolutely fine before.
Just wondered if there was a simple fix we hadn’t thought of.

I have never heard such garbage! I have had my caravans and moturhomes serviced at home for many years and not once has any engineer suggested what he does would trip the house electrics,
They shoukd most certainly test the trip in the caravan, and that should do so BEFORE anything in the house trips,
He is trying to baffle you with gobblydegook!

Yes my thoughts exactly. He told my daughter she was being embarrassing for suggesting it was their fault and asking for a refund if they wouldn’t come out to correct the fault.

It is certainly part of the test procedure for testing an installation is to ensure the protective device do operate correctly. But as Mr Plod has said the test should only cause the local trip to work, not the one in your house.

These trips can and do wear out with age, and it is possible the trip in your house has become over sensitive, and it responded to the test in the caravan. If this is the case, then its not the service engineers fault, it's basically your responsibility to ensure your house wiring and protection devices are working correctly.

I suggest it may wise to have your house RCD checked for correct operation.
